Meet the team.
Eric Muchunku
Chief Executive Officer
Eric Muchunku, the Founder and CEO of Pitan Developers, believes that solutions to the development challenges in sub-Saharan Africa are indigenous and lie in the innovation of its people. A registered graduate Engineer, he is an all-round professional, with over 7 years’ experience in execution of construction projects and project lifecycle management.
His career has had him working with Engineering consulting firms, Contractors, Governments and International NGOs to deliver land mark projects across the country including the standard gauge railway. Muchunku is also a consultant for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
He is currently pursuing an MSc. Civil Engineering at the University of Nairobi and a PMP certification with the PMI institute, USA. Muchunku has been invited to speak at local and international conferences, most recently being in Kenyatta University where he was a panelist on Affordable housing.
Dennis Njue
Chief Operations Officer, Director
Dennis Njue is a founding Director and the Chief Operations Officer at Pitan Developers. As a registered graduate Civil and Structural Engineer, he has worked for leading Engineering Consulting firms, gaining vast experience in design, execution and project management of Construction projects of various magnitudes. Dennis has a keen interest in Affordable Building materials and Technologies (ABMT).
Before taking up his role at Pitan, he worked with CMAX Kenya, the leading manufacturer and supplier of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Technology in Kenya. While working there, he got specialized training by Emmedue, the world Pioneer developer of EPS Technology, and is now a certified Engineering Specialist of EPS technology.
As part of professional development, he is currently pursuing Professional Engineering Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya.
Monicah Muchemi
Assisant Site Engineer
Monicah Muchemi’s heart is set on construction management. The alumnus of Egerton University in Kenya enjoys monitoring project projects, quality control and conflict resolution. Before joining Pitan Developers, she previously worked with KURA, Nakuru.
When not engaging in construction work, Monica enjoys blogging. She also helps out in pre-school swimming lessons.
Ezra Munjuri
Assistant Site Engineer
Ezra Munjuri enjoys solving complex engineering problems. He has an eye for detail when it comes to structural works and public works construction projects. The Civil and Structural Engineering graduate from University of Eldoret worked with Mansell Builders Ltd and Intex Construction Company before Joining Pitan Developers.
